Some updated Daisy pics!!!

Happy Birthday Daisy!!!

My puppy turns a year old today!! That is so hard to believe. So, today we have spent a lot of time playing with sticks in the backyard. We have also played with her toys inside. She currently weighs about 60 pounds. The vets think she will top off between 75-100. Looking at her, I think it is hard to believe she weighs 60. She does not look like it. I am in the process of pulling pictures off my phone to post.

So, I am not good at this whole blog a day. Ok, sometimes I forget. Sometimes I don't have anything interesting to post. Ok....off to continue to mess with pics. I don't know how to get them off of my new phone...so please be patient.....I will hopefully be back soon with pics.....

Oh...great news.....the raised about 47,000 during the sleepout!!!

Mondays......

Boy do I seriously dislike Mondays. For some reason, Mondays at work are just icky. I won't go into the gory details, but I awill say I am glad another Monday is over.

It is adorable though, that Daisy seems to know when I had a rough day. She is not a cuddle bug. She very rarely cuddles. However, when I have bad days she will come over and plop on my lap and turn into quite the cuddlebug, even if it is only for a couple minutes. Talk about adorable.

oops

Sorry, I had a very busy weekend and did not have time to post. So, here is the recap.

On Friday, I was able to leave the office ealry to set up for the sleepout. We started set up about 1. Brett was very helpful. After we got set up, Brett and i left to run a couple errands. We then got back in time for the food line to start. Originally I was supposed to run the silent auction, but there were so many other volunteers that I was able to enjoy the event. Brett and I sat by a firepit and listened to the speakers, choir and band. We ate great free food. I did have to help when the silent auction was over. It was a great night. The auction raised around $1800. We ended up leaving around 11pm. We think we are going to actually sleep out next year.

On Saturday was Breeder's Cup. Well. ot was also on Friday, but I taped it and watched it on Saturday. Great racing. A mare won the Classic for the first time. And, everyone came back safe. Great Day.

Also Saturday was the nebraska Oklahoma Football game. And, Nebraska won. It was not pretty, but that's ok.

So, today was spent with cleaning and errands.

I hope next weekend is as enjoyable!!

The results are in.....

So, it was a great election. My father in law is now back on the city council!! Sadly, turnout was only like %14. Yikes!! Also sadly, my boss did not get reelected. There were three open seats and 5 people running. *sigh* oh well.

Last night we went out and celebrated. It was pretty low key, but fun. I met a lot of neat people.

My puppy is cute, but I am not happy with her right now. I have this huge African Milk plant in my door (think really tall cactus). Well, lately, Daisy has nibbled on it. I am worried that it hurts her because it has spines. I have been trying to discourage her from biting at it, but nothing has seemed to work. Well, tonight she actually pulled it over and spilled potting soil everywhere. Then as I was cleaning it up, she squatted and peed on the floor. Nice. So, she is enjoying a time out.

Let's see, I was back at work today. Nothing terribly exciting. Tonight we will get to hopefully celebrate the election results. I will keep you posted.
